Local Greyhound Action Campaign Forges On.

Local Greyhound Action Campaign Forges On.

There was a record turn out of people and dogs on Saturday 12 January, kick starting this new campaign year. People came from far and wide, in cars, on foot and by bike and demonstrated their commitment to stop greyhound racing at Monmore Green and indeed everywhere.

There was more general traffic than usual, and many cars slowed down to have a good read of the banners and posters. As usual lots of leaflets were given out to customers arriving at the stadium and the enthusiasm of Greyhound Action supporters left no one in doubt about the fate of racing dogs and those bred for racing, as horrifying statistics rang out across the car park. Despite the cold and rain, spirits remained high and it proved that what ever the weather Wolverhampton Greyhound Action will continue it's campaign and protest against this barbaric industry.

The next demonstration at Monmore Green Stadium will be on Saturday 9 February at 5.45pm till 7pm. For more information on future demos please contact Show email address. For information on the national campaign and what you can do to help please see www.greyhoundaction.org.uk or contact
