It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of WVV co-founder Neil Lea. Neil's health (he suffered from Spina Bifida) prevented him from attending many of our later meetings, but it didn't stop him from being active in promoting veganism and animal rights. Neil was a driving force behind free food fairs, the Newchurch Campaign, Real Food - www.realfood.org.uk, Vegan Buddies - www.veganbuddies.org.uk, Is it Vegan – HYPERLINK "http://www.isitvegan.info" www.isitvegan.info, and of course ARC News, to name but a few. Sometimes cantakerous, but always deeply committed, Neil's sense of humour and passion, along with his tireless campaigning, certainly made its mark and he will be sorely missed - thanks, Neil, for all you've achieved. Our sincere condolences go to Mary and Seamus.Group Walk
Thanks again to Ray for organising another walk for the group, this time a chance to sample the delights of Wolverhampton’s Smestow Valley. We all enjoyed the canal, railway path and wildlife views, and excellent weather for the end of September.Date: 2007-10-20
