We had an impressive turnout for the Halloween demonstration at Monmore Green Stadium, which was our third protest there.

Some of us were in Fancy dress:- the Grim Reaper, horror characters and gothic mourners stood at the entrance next to a gravestone announcing the loss of so many 'disposable' dogs to the racing industry and we were lit by candles and lanterns. The usual banners were held aloft which explained why we were there and again, hundreds of leaflets were distributed. The evening was peaceful as always, we didn't rise to the un-professinal comments of Monmore Green Sadium staff. Feedback from fellow demonstrators has been positive regarding the effect that we seem to be having at the stadium but also the increase in numbers, it was good to see some new faces, especially the our canine friends. Of course it is always good to see the familiar ones too who turn out when they can and give support in many ways

After the demonstration a few of us went to see the Barrel O' Baddies at the Combermere where they played a great punky celtic rock gig. A good way to unwind with some friends and have a drink of what ever takes your fancy.
